Job Description: Under minimal supervision, the instructor will prepare lesson plans and teach both classroom and lab instruction for credited courses within the Automotive Technology program. The instructor must possess the ability to teach all phases of the curriculum.
Degree Requirements: Associates degree
Experience Required: Must have a minimum of three years of documented work experience in the automotive field.
Licenses/Certifications Required: Must posses ASE certification in areas of Auto Electrical and Electronics, Climate Control, Brakes, Steering and Suspension, and Engine Performance.
Skills Required: Must possess good computer skills. Duties include advising and mentoring students, updating curriculum, developing exams, and developing instructional materials. Instructor will also assist in registration and recruiting.
Benefits Eligibility: This position is eligible for membership in Georgia Defined Contribution Program only.
Salary Information: Actual salary is based on the candidate’s highest qualifying degree and number of contact teaching hours. Range per hour is $15 to $20.
